Use Your Imagination is a Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition actual-play podcast from the Archangel Studios affiliated Dungeons & Doodles actual-play network. It follows a group of adventurers brought together through their shared experience with death and their subsequent resurrection at the hands of the Raven Queen, the goddess of life and death.
Starring: Gabrielle (she/her) as the Dungeon Master Alyssa (she/her) as Lezeth Umerath (she/her) DC (she/her) as Hattie Mallory (she/her) Rocky (they/them) as Kai Fiendssong (he/they) Karryn (she/her) as Teth Evanxath (she/her) Produced and Edited by Gabrielle of Archangel Studios |
The concept presented in Use Your Imagination was originally born from an idea for a one-shot adventure that would originally have the players facing an original monster in the wake of forgetting what had happened to them after waking in a mass grave. Even further, the idea for the original monster was born from a drawing of an eldritch creature that could control the corpses of the other creatures it had defeated. Once the podcast was conceptualized, it soon evolved into a slightly more complicated affair, involving both homebrew and 5e canon content. After a year DMing for another campaign, I wanted to involve myself more in the Dungeons & Dragons/TTRPG community so I decided to start the podcast as a way to not only explore other homebrew ideas and concepts but to also begin the process of presenting myself as a professional in the space that I enjoyed.

Hattie Mallory (she/her)
Human Cleric, Follower of Ioun Accompanied by a goat named Humphrey and haunted by a tragedy she hides, Hattie is a bitter older woman hollowed out by a search for revenge. While traveling on the continent of Winterflower, she found herself traveling through the Celestial Valley when she came upon a tower, the interior of which attacked her senses and pulled her into a fate she couldn't have imagined. When breath refilled her lungs, she found herself bound to a new destiny, one that might just offer the answers that she's been searching for all these years. Kai Fiendssong (he/they) Tiefling Cleric, Follower of Corellon Raised in the slums of Dellmount but never venturing far afield, Kai is young in the sense that he grew into a sense of duty far too fast. His first foray into the world outside of the one he knew brought him to the other side of the Celestial Valley on the coat-tails of those who brought him along. There, his party found a death-bound fate while he found something much different. When he began living again, much like Hattie, he found himself tied to something much greater than the sense of duty he left behind. Lezeth Umerath (she/her) Githzerai Druid, Follower of Melora Left to her devices in a secluded and snowy cabin in the woods, Lezeth is a quiet and reserved young woman whose only motivation for leaving is the destiny handed to her by her goddess. Her journey from her seclusion brought her to a tower not but a couple of weeks away from her old home where her life would change forever. After resurrection she, like Kai and Hattie, found herself on the path toward a fate much different than expected though, perhaps, still in the direction of the duty granted to her by divinity. Teth Evanxath (she/her) Triton Bard Once an adventurer making her way across the oceans as a pirate, Teth is a naive young woman changed by a disaster that she's not even sure how to talk about. Alone after losing it all, she ventures out with a new party, where they find a resting place but where her path converges with something new. Once revived, she found herself converging on the paths her new companions walked, a path that might just lead her to the one that caused her to lose everything in the first place. |

Roll for Initiation is a Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition actual-play podcast from the Archangel Studios affiliated Dungeons & Doodles actual-play network. It follows a group of adventurers who are navigating their place as the newest initiates in the Order of the Eternal Queen.
Starring: Gabrielle (she/her) as the Dungeon Master Alyssa (she/her) as Edetha Belet (she/they) DC (she/her) as Adam (they/she/he) Jay (he/him) as Bruce Steelhorns (he/him) Jacob (he/him) as Brollie (he/him) Tyrion (he/him) as Iramil Hanali (he/him) Krista (she/her) as Bella (she/her) Produced and Edited by Gabrielle of Archangel Studios |
The concept presented in Roll for Initiation was a born from a in-joke between myself and two of the other cast members, Alyssa and Jay. During a campaign that we later had to cancel, "roll for initiation" was a verbal flub of someone trying to say "roll for initiative," a common term for prepping players for in-game combat. From there, it became a joke. When we were discussing starting a new show, the phrase came up again, mostly as a goof, and evolved into a fully realized concept.
